Integrated Broadband Communications (IBC) and multimedia technology can give a tourism information infrastructure in order to provide direct marketing links between tourism providers and point of sales. This paper presents a methodology for IBC service definition based on specifications developed by RACE I European project. IBC systems are derived from a design process which begins with an analysis of the user needs. The methodology was applied, as a case study, in the tourism field for marketing service creation and delivery. Functional, architectural and consolidation issues are also discussed. |
