heal.abstract Based on the assumption that the introduction of Parlay APIs within service control platforms will be the next fundamental step of Intelligent Network evolution, this paper proposes the use of mobile agent technology within future Parlay-conformant converged networks in order to deploy services dynamically at Parlay-conformant network elements. Thus this paper extends previous studies on the usage of mobile agent technology in the context of IN evolution in a straight forward manner. The presented approach is validated in the European IST project STARLITE, which aims for the development of an innovative distributed IN platform for providing hybrid services across converged Public Switched Telephone Networks and the IP networks. en
