heal.abstract |
Wireless ATM is an emerging network technology that combines the capabilities of ATM with user mobility and undeterred access. Therefore, Call Admission Control is a crucial function in mobile networks. It assists users to freely move and communicate beyond the limits of a wireless specific area, without loosing their connection established and at the same time decide whether an incoming call should be admitted for network service. In this paper different CAC control schemes were proposed, serving users were classified into three categories according to their priority scheme. Our main scope is to design an efficient admission control providing users the desired QoS. For that reason a hybrid scheme between the handoff and new calls and the service priorities is proposed. |
