heal.abstract |
A novel full-wave methodology for the modeling of strip-line planar structures with vertical interconnects in multi-layer dielectric media is presented. The methodology is based on the electric-field integral-equation, discretized by employing the method of moments (MoM). The special characteristics of stripline structures facilitate extensive analytical solutions, eliminating the need for complex numerical techniques. The mathematical formulation and the algorithmic implementation of the method are also described. The validity of the theoretical results is examined by a comparison of calculated and measured results for simple stripline structures. |
