The implementation of theoretical approaches for load forecasting for real systems may not be as straightforward as it appears. A well-established weather sensitive methodology for peak load forecasting was applied to the Hellenic system. Several practical difficulties were encountered and interesting theoretical issues arose. In this paper, the necessary steps taken in order to implement the methodology for the Hellenic system are presented. Numerical results are shown for the year 2001. |
