Highly competitive and open environments should encompass mechanisms that will assist service providers in accounting for their interests, i.e., offering at a given period of time adequate quality services in a cost efficient manner which is highly associated to efficiently managing and fulfilling current user requests. In this paper, service task assignment problem is addressed from one of the possible theoretical perspectives, while new functionality is introduced in service architectures that run in open environments in order to support the proposed solution. The pertinent problem is concisely defined, mathematically formulated, computationally efficient solved and evaluated through simulation experiments. |
