heal.abstract |
In this paper the electrical part of a grid connected variable speed wind turbine is considered, equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous generator. The modeling of the generator and power converter, ensuring the connection to the grid, are checked experimentally on a prototype, both for dynamic system analysis and operating limits investigation. Measurements as well as control functions are performed by using a microprocessor. The simulation and experimental results are used in the development of a 25 kW windturbine, in the frame of a research project. ©2004 IEEE. |
