This paper presents a hybrid simulation method for the study of the performance of WCDMA with smart antennas. The method combines link level simulations that characterize the performance of the air interface in greater detail, with system level simulations that study the performance of a multi-tier cellular system. After the description of the proposed method, some initial results are provided for typical operational scenarios. |
