An outline is provided of the radio coverage analysis in three-dimensional (3-D) outdoor urban areas for GSM frequencies (900-1800 MHz), through simulation of the propagation phenomena. The calculation of relevant contributions is achieved, taking advantage of the Physical Optics theory, Image theory and Ufimtsev's Physical Theory of Diffraction with application of Mitzner's Incremental Length Diffraction Coefficients (ILDC) for building walls scattering, ground reflection and diffraction, respectively. © 2011 IEEE. |
