An algorithm is presented for determining the constants involved in a composite model concerning diesel engines. Linear correlations are established, which relate every 'control matrix' to the 'state matrix'. The 'state matrix' and the 'control matrix' are linked by a conditional statistical correlation. The algorithm is advantageous over other previous ones in that it is quicker, does not require good initial guesses, and does not give unrealistic output values. |
