Experimental results of the ball-drop forming of flat alumium strips, peened from one side only with steel balls dropped from certain height are presented and various aspects of the drop forming process are outlined. The effects of the ball size, the mass of the balls dropped, the mechanical properties and the geometry of the target material on the curvature of the components produced are discussed. |
