An accurate estimation of the attenuation due to rain for a single hop in a terrestrial radio system above 10 GHz is proposed. An algorithm for the calculation of the accumulated thermal noise for the whole multilink microwave system is provided. The method is shown to give a good representation of cumulative attenuation distributions for most of the hydrometeorological zones of the world classified by CCIR. |
