Thermodynamic and economic considerations are combined in an objective function for the optimal design of a gas-turbine plant. Optimal values for the decision variables (performance specifications and operating characteristics) and the capital cost are determined. A sensitivity analysis follows. Comparison is made with results obtained from other objective functions. |
