A new dynamic heuristic method for the optimum expansion planning of medium voltage (MV) distribution networks is based on decoupling the problem to static and dynamic subproblem. The static subproblem is solved using branch exchange methods, that are based on the corresponding methods of MV network operation. The balancing subproblem is solved using dynamic programming. The proposed method, using a typical distribution network, can be used for extended sensitivity analyses, since only the dynamic subproblem is necessary to be solved in these cases. |
