A low-cost system for automatic recording of lightning was developed at the High Voltage Laboratory of National Technical University of Athens. The system includes two pair loop antennae for the measurement of the magnetic flux density caused by the lightning current, an electronic integrator of the signal, a data acquisition system and a personal computer with a software package which was developed for the analysis of the measurements. |
