In this paper a parametric study is performed, and charts are proposed for the preliminary estimation of maximum absolute and differential surface settlements due to tunneling. The examined cases are circular tunnels with diameters 4m, 6m, 8m and 10m excavated at depths of 10m, 15m, 20m in different qualities of weak rock masses with GSI (Geological Strength Index) values: 20, 25, 30 and 35. |
