heal.abstract This paper presents methods of analyzing data from aerothermodynamic performance measurements, for the purpose of assessing the condition of the components of a gas turbine. The features of such methods are analyzed in function of the measurements available and the most efficient ways of extracting information from a given measurement set are discussed. The principles discussed are highlighted and the method is substantiated by presenting results from measurements and their analysis from operating industrial gas turbines. The identification of deposits on turbine blades is discussed, with reference to a particular test case. Monitoring of compresor fouling is another industrial test case discussed in the paper. en
