heal.abstract |
A problem emerging even at the ship design stage is the usage of proper simulation tools to study the response of the main and auxiliary systems under steady- and transient- state conditions. Moreover, nowadays that the concept of an integrated electric power system in conjunction with an associate monitoring/managing system has started being realized, an equivalent simulation tool is sought, too, especially referring to electric power system which tends to become the most significant system on shipboard. This contribution moves towards answering affirmatively the evident question of marine engineers whether there is a single computer program capable of accurately dealing with all power and control problems encountered on shipboard. |
