This paper presents the study of two dielectric loaded planar antenna structures suitable for ultra wideband (UWB) or dual-band applications. The effect of the dielectric loading on the antenna resonant frequency and impedance bandwidth is investigated. Simulation and measured results for the return loss are presented and compared. The radiation patterns of the optimum design are also presented and discussed. |
