heal.abstract |
Basic properties of standard integral equations for thin wire, circular loop antennas with approximate kernels are examined. The study is based on an asymptotic formula for the Fourier coefficients of the reduced kernel. The excitation type is critical to our discussions, since its mathematical model determines the behavior of the solution convergence. Four different feeding models are therefore studied, and their relative effects on the solution are highlighted. Two different versions of the moment methods (MoM) are invoked for the numerical treatment of the aforementioned equations, and arising associated difficulties are also discussed. |
