The scope of the study presented in this paper is the performance of an OFDMA cellular system under different RRM (radio resource management) algorithms. Three different RRM algorithms are applied on an OFDMA system with omni-directional antennas. Adaptive modulation is also considered for these algorithms. The achievable total bit rate in the downlink for the whole system and the central cell is the parameter under consideration. The behaviour of the algorithms in scenarios where users request different bit rates is also highlighted. (5 pages). |
