This paper aims to present the first experience of the ICCS-NTUA, as the member of DERlab Association responsible for the inverter tests in Greece and Cyprus, with testing qualification of PV inverters according to the grid interconnection guidelines in Greece and Cyprus. Furthermore, this paper provides the results from the NTUA laboratory during Robin Round PV Inverter Tests between DERlab members according to the European Standards. The aim of the tests is to assess if the PV inverters are suitable for functioning in parallel to the grid and to measure the performances and characteristics of the PV inverters in different operative conditions. It explains the approach and methodology introduced in the standards for a combined assessment of the conversion as well as the maximum power point tracking efficiency. In addition, a background insight on the test conditions, the necessary test equipment and interpretation of the results is provided. |
