Περίπτερα Ποδηλάτου

Abstract

Τα Περίπτερα Ποδηλάτου αποτελούν, ουσιαστικά, αστικό εξοπλισμό με σκοπό την εξυπηρέτηση των χρηστών ποδηλάτου της Αθήνας και την προώθηση του ποδηλάτου. Η κατασκευή αφορά πρωτίστως την επισκευή και συντήρηση ποδηλάτων και δευτερευόντως την προβολή του ποδηλάτου ως ιδανικού μέσου μετακίνησης στην πόλη, μέσω σχετικών δράσεων που θα μπορεί να φιλοξενεί. Πρόκειται για μια ημιυπαίθρια, συναρμολογούμενη μονάδα από μεταλλικές διατομές με την ιδιότητα να προσαρμόζεται, να επεκτείνεται, να διαφοροποιείται ανάλογα με τις ανάγκες που προκύπτουν στο σημείο τοποθέτησής της. Προτείνεται μια τυπολογία περιπτέρων, ενώ ενδεικτικά τοποθετούνται δύο εξ’αυτών σε δύο σημεία της πόλης, στο Θησείο και στην οδό Ιλισού, παράλληλα στην όχθη του ποταμού.

This thesis suggests a network of city units dedicated to bicycle- repairing and promotion of bike-riding in the city of Athens, Greece. Primarily, the pavilions are bike- repairing stations, situated on public spaces, in relation with metro stations. Secondary, they intend to promote the bicycle as an ideal vehicle to move around the city. The citizens of Athens are not familiar with the appearance of bicycle on the streets and need to know about it, in order to accept it or use it. The pavilions are metallic structures, able to be assembled on site. The unit can be transformed on demand of the particular needs of the users in each area, by adding or removing elements from the basic frame. All units have a minimum of components, while the type to be selected for each place is related to the characteristics of the available space. Two proposals are placed at Thisio and Ilisos street, on the bank of Ilisos river.
