Πρέσπες: Ενεργοποίηση του Διασυνοριακού Τοπίου

Abstract

Η διπλωματική αναπτύχθηκε σε τρεις βασικές ενότητες και κλίµακες σχεδιασµού. Η πρώτη ενότητα αφορά στην ευρύτερη περιοχή της Πρέσπας και περιλαµβάνει την µελέτη και την ανάλυση του τοπίου που µοιράζονται τρία κράτη, η Ελλάδα, η Βουλγαρία και η FYROM. Προτείνονται βασικές σχεδιαστικές επεµβάσεις στρατηγικού χαρακτήρα µε στόχο την εξυπηρέτηση των κατοίκων της Πρέσπας και την ανάδειξη και προστασία των προστατευόµενων περιοχών της, µέσα από την οργάνωση των Πάρκων που περιβάλλουν τις λίµνες. Στη δεύτερη ενότητα εστιάζουµε στο ελλαδικό κοµµάτι του τοπίου, µέσα από την ανάπτυξη ενός στρατηγικού σχεδίου για την οργάνωση του Εθνικού Πάρκου Πρεσπών. Βασικοί στόχοι είναι η βελτίωση της ποιότητας ζωής των κατοίκων της Πρέσπας, η προσέλκυση ανθρώπινου δυναµικού και η οργάνωση του Εθνικού Πάρκου. Οι δέκα προτεινόµενες επεµβάσεις εκτείνονται σε ολόκληρη την ελλαδική ενδοχώρα, ενεργοποιώντας σηµεία και οικισµούς, δηµιουργώντας ένα πολυθεµατικό δίκτυο που οργανώνει και βελτιώνει τις δραστηριότητες των µόνιµων κατοίκων και ενισχύει την επισκεψιµότητα του Πάρκου. Στην τρίτη ενότητα αναλύεται σε επίπεδο αρχιτεκτονικού σχεδιασµού µια από τις προτεινόµενες επεµβάσεις, που αφορά στη µετατροπή του παλιού κονσερβοποιείου “Πρέσπα Ελλάς” σε ένα κέντρο για την προστασία του των υγρών λιβαδιών και των καλαµιώνων. Ο χώρος παραγωγής του παλιού εργοστασίου µετατρέπεται σε έναν κοινωνικό χώρο ενηµέρωσης και εκµάθησης παραδοσιακών κατασκευών, ενώ ένας νέος όγκος στεγάζει τα επιστηµονικά εργαστήρια και το αµφιθέατρο. Η νέα σύνθεση βρίσκεται σε εγγύτητα αλλά και σε απόλυτη σχέση µε τους καλαµιώνες και τη λίµνη.

The thesis is developed in three main sections and scales of design. The first section refers to the wider region of Prespa and includes a study and analysis of the landscape that is being shared by three countries: Greece, Bulgaria and FYROM.The basic strategic design proposals, considering the conflict between natural and national borders, aim to create a common development framework on the base of the common components the three countries have at the region of Prespa. The proposals aim to serve the residents of the isolated Prespa and to preserve the valuable protected areas through the organization of the three National Parks that surround the lakes. The second section focuses on the Greek part of the landscape, through the development of a masterplan for the organization of Prespa National Park. Key objective through this, is to improve the quality of life of the residents of the remote Prespa, by attracting human resources and by restoring the harmonious relation between the man of Prespa and Nature. The interventions form a multidisciplinary network of points, settlements and paths that activate the landscape and concern the traditional architecture, the ecosystem, the occupations of the residents and the sightseeing of the Park. In the third section, one of the interventions is analyzed at the level of architectural design. The old cannery ‘’Prespa, Greece’’ is being converted to a center for the protection of the wet meadows at Micro Prespa.More specifically, the building will house an institution responsible for the management of the reedbeds for the protection of the wet meadows. The new landscape composition is being complete with a route through the reedbeds for the observation of the fauna.
