heal.abstract	Στα πλαίσια της διπλωματικής εργασίας, γίνεται μια διερεύνηση σχετικά με τις δυνατότητες επανασχεδιασμού και επανοργάνωσης του εγκαταλειμμένου χώρου εντός του μεσαιωνικού κάστρου της Άρτας με στόχο τη συγκρότηση μιας πρότασης για την επανάχρηση του χώρου. Η άγνοια και αδιαφορία για τον χώρο είναι φανερή από τον τρόπο που η πόλη στρέφει την πλάτη της σε αυτό. Ωστόσο, τα τελευταία χρόνια υπάρχει μια ελάχιστη αξιοποίηση του χώρου για πολιτιστικές εκδηλώσεις. Εντός του βυζαντινού κάστρου, είναι χτισμένο το Ξενία της Άρτας. Αναζητήθηκε μια νέα χρήση τόσο για το κτίριο όσο και για όλο το χώρο, βιώσιμη. Προτείνεται η απόδοση του κτιρίου στο τμήμα λαϊκής και παραδοσιακής μουσικής του ΤΕΙ ΗΠΕΙΡΟΥ, ένα τμήμα ζωντανό, δεμένο με την τοπική κοινωνία και πλούσια πολιτιστική δράση. Ύστερα από την αποτύπωση της υφιστάμενης κατάστασης, διερευνήθηκε η συγκρότηση περιοχών , πορειών και κόμβων με δεδομένη πάντα την ύπαρξη ενός πολύ ισχυρού ορίου με πτυχώσεις. Βάση αυτών συγκροτείται μια πρόταση. Το Ξενία μετατρέπεται στον κεντρικό κόμβο όλων των προτεινόμενων πορειών, έτσι που να δένεται οργανικά με το περιβάλλον και τον υπόλοιπο χώρο αναιρώντας την υπάρχουσα πόλωση περιμέτρου-κέντρου. Η λογική επέμβασης είναι η αναζήτηση ήπιων χειρισμών που θα αναδείξουν και αναβαθμίσουν αυτό που ήδη υπάρχει.Ιδιαίτερα στο κτίριο γίνονται σημειακές στοχευμένες επέμβασεις για την ανάδειξη του και την ενταξή του στο συνολικό σχέδιο του χώρου.	el
heal.abstract	This thesis aims to investigate the potential of redesign and reorganization of the abandoned space within the medieval castle of Arta, with the aim of making a proposal for the re-use of the space. Ignorance and indifference for the castle by the local community is evident from the way the city turns its back on it. However, in recent years there is a rare use of the space for cultural events. Within the Byzantine castle, the former Xenia hotel of Arta was built in 1959. I searched for a new, sustainable use for both the building and the whole area. Therefore, it is proposed that the School of Folk and Traditional music, TEI of Epirus, should use the building. It is an alive School , tied to the local community ,with rich cultural action. After understanding the existing situation, I investigated the assembly areas, paths and nodes that would compose my proposal. The existence of a very strong limit in the perimeter, which folds was an key- element. Xenia , on the other hand, becomes the central hub of all proposed routes, so that it becomes an organic part of the environment, negating the existing polarization of perimeter-center. The effort is by seeking mild manipulations to highlight and upgrade what already exists there .Concerning the building ,interventions are targeted to upgrade the space and contribute to its integration with the overall plan space.	en
