dc.description.abstract	Η παρούσα έρευνα αποτελεί στατιστική ανάλυση των ατυχημάτων που έλαβαν χώρα στην περίοδο 1990-2011, για πλοία μεταφοράς εμπορευμάτων (cellular containerships) τα οποία κατασκευάστηκαν μετά το 1981 και με ολική χωρητικότητα πάνω από 999.	el
dc.description.abstract	The current research is a statistical analysis of accidents that occurred during the period 1990- 2011 for cellular Containerships that were built after 1981 and with a gross tonnage (GT) greater than 999. The research consists of two parts, related to each other. The first part contains a detailed analysis of all the incidents involving ships that at the time of the accident were registered to members of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS). The second part consists of the analysis of serious accidents on ships that at the time of the incident were not registered to an IACS member and compared with serious accidents of ships registered to IACS members. All data used in this research were provided by the Germanischer Lloyd. Both parts of the study contain only the IHS Database.	en
