heal.abstract	οι αρχές: Βασικός στόχος της διπλωματικής μας είναι να συνθέσουμε μια σειρά από παράγοντες. Ο πρώτος παράγοντας είναι ο κοινωνικός χαρακτήρας της αρχιτεκτονικής και του χώρου. Ο δεύτερος είναι η συνύπαρξη του παλαιού και του νέου σε μια συντεθειμένη σχέση. Ο τρίτος είναι η διαμόρφωση του δημοσίου χώρου ως χώρου οργανικά συνδεδεμένου με το κτισμένο. Ο τέταρτος και τελευταίος είναι η δυνατότητα εναλλαγής χρήσεων στους χώρους που διαμορφώνουμε. H τοποθεσία: Με αυτά τα κριτήρια, επιλέξαμε το οικόπεδο των παλιών Δημοτικών Σφαγείων Ταύρου, έναν χώρο 17 στρεμμάτων επί της Πειραιώς, σε ένα σημείο, όπου η κατοικία συναντά την βιοτεχνία, το ιδιωτικό το δημόσιο και άρα μια παρέμβαση μπορεί παράλληλα να αφορά τόσο την γειτονιά όσο και το σύνολο του αστικού ιστού. Oι χρήσεις: Στις χρήσεις που εντάσσουμε στην σύνθεσή μας περιλαμβάνονται πολιτιστικές δραστηριότητες, χώροι για κοινωνικές λειτουργίες καθώς και αθλητικές εγκαταστάσεις πολλαπλών χρήσεων, οι οποίες εκτιμούμε ότι είναι λιγοστές στην πόλη. Απέναντι από τον μακρόστενο όγκο των σφαγείων που επαναχρησιμοποιούμε, σχεδιάζουμε υπό γωνία έναν νέο μακρόστενο όγκο ενώ στην γωνία συνάντησης των δύο διαμορφώνουμε μια αίθουσα πολλαπλών χρήσεων. Τέλος, δίνουμε έμφαση στον δημόσιο χώρο, ο οποίος συγκικριμενοποιείται γύρω από μια κεντρική χειρονομία βύθισης, η οποία οδηγεί στην αίθουσα πολλαπλών χρήσεων.	el
heal.abstract	The principles: The main goal of our diploma project is to combine a series of factors. The first factor is the social nature of architecture. The second one is the coexistence of the old and the new in a composed relationship. The third one is the development of the public space in an organic relationship with the built environment. The last one is the possibility of function alternations in the developed spaces. The location: Based on these criteria, we chose the grounds of the old Public Abattoir of Tavros, an area of 17 acres on Pireos street, a location where housing meets industry, and public space meets private space. In this terms, an intervention there regards the neighbourhood as much as the city itself. The functions: The functions we introduce to our synthesis include cultural activities, spaces for social functions as well as multipurpose sport facilities, which, according to our estimations, Athens lacks of. Opposite to the existing long and narrow building of the abattoirs which we reuse, we design another building of similar proportions at an angle and at the corner of intersection we place a cultural multipurpose hall. Finally, we emphasize on the public space, which is being materialized around a sinking of the public space, which leads to the hall described above.	en
