heal.abstract	Η περιοχή του Μεταξουργείου ήταν και είναι μια εργατική συνοικία που αντιμετωπίζει πολλά χωρικά και κοινωνικά προβλήματα. Η επιλογή του θέματος αυτής της διπλωματικής αποτελεί μια προσπάθεια να δώσουμε λύση σε ένα από τα σημερινά προβλήματά της: στην έλλειψη χώρου για το 85ο διθέσιο, ολοήμερο νηπιαγωγείο Αθηνών, το οποίο συστεγάζεται με το αντίστοιχο δημοτικό. Το οικόπεδο που επιλέχθηκε βρίσκεται μεταξύ των οδών Λεωνίδου, Θερμοπυλών, Σφακτηρίας και Σαλαμίνος. Είναι ένα διαμπερές οικόπεδο με κύριο μέτωπο προς στον πεζόδρομο της Σφακτηρίας, όπου τοποθετείται το κύριο μέτωπο προβολής του κτιρίου, ως ένα πιο φιλικό όριο μεταξύ πόλης και νηπιαγωγείου. Μέσα στο οικόπεδο, υπάρχουν δύο διατηρητέα κτίρια τα οποία καλούμαστε να ενσωματώσουμε στη λειτουργία του νηπιαγωγείου. Κεντρική ιδέα είναι η δημιουργία ενός βασικού διαδρόμου κίνησης, ο οποίος εκφράζεται με μια μεταλλική κατασκευή, και γύρω από αυτόν διαρθρώνονται οι βασικοί όγκοι του κτιρίου. Η κατασκευή αυτή διατρέχει όλο το κτίριο δημιουργώντας μια δευτερεύουσα είσοδο από την οδό Λεωνίδου . Κάθε όγκος εκφράζει και μια ξεχωριστή λειτουργία, ενώ ο διάδρομος της κίνησης λειτουργεί άλλοτε ως ενοποιητικό στοιχείο, και άλλοτε, ως διαχωριστικό. Η αυλή του νηπιαγωγείου τοποθετείται στο κέντρο του οικοπέδου, ενώνοντας, λειτουργικά και συνθετικά, το νηπιαγωγείο με τα διατηρητέα νεοκλασικά. Η συνολική σύνθεση είναι ένα ιδιαίτερα εσωστρεφές σύστημα, που ενεργοποιεί το κέντρο του οικοπέδου. Διατηρεί ένα ισχυρό όριο προς τον πεζόδρομο, το οποίο, όμως, υποχωρεί ανά σημεία δημιουργώντας πλατώματα για την καλύτερη ένταξή του στο περιβάλλον της γειτονιάς.	el
heal.abstract	Metaxourgeio is a region of the center of Athens which confronts many spatial and social problems. This thesis is an effort to give a solution to one of these problems, to the lack of space for the 85th kindergarten of Athens, which is now hosted by the primary school of the area. The chosen plot lays between Leonidou, Thermopilwn, Sfakthrias and Salaminos streets. It’s an airy plot with its main side towards the pedestrian street of Sfaktirias, where we also set the main entrance of the building, as a more friendly environment towards the children’s mentality. Into the plot, there are two conserved buildings which we must incorporate into the function of our own synthesis. The main idea is a basic corridor which encloses the main moving into the building. This corridor is expressed through a metal construction, while, the rest of the building is articulated and organized around it. This construction runs through the entire building from Sfaktirias pedestrian street until Leonidou street, where it forms a secondary entrance. Each volume expresses a different function, and they are either connected or separated by the corridor. The center of the plot is vitalized via the courtyard which connects the kindergarten with the conserved buildings. The synthesis is an introvert system with a strong bounder towards the pedestrian street which sometimes retreats for the best incorporation of the building into the neighborhood’s environment.	en
