heal.abstract	Η παρούσα εργασία έχει ως στόχο την προσέγγιση μιας εναλλα¬κτικής μορφής επανάχρησης των βιομηχανικών κελυφών και τον προσδιορισμό του ρόλου τους στη σύγχρονη κοινωνία. Αρχικά τοποθετείται χρονικά η δημιουργία και η εξέλιξη των κτιρίων αυτών από την βιομηχανική επανάσταση μέχρι την οριστική εγκατάλειψή τους κατά την αποβιομηχάνιση. Τα κενά πλέον κτίρια φέρουν ένα σύνολο αξιών το οποίο αποτέλεσε το κίνητρο δημιουργίας νέων εννοιών που αφορούν τη βιομηχανική κληρονομιά. Η σημασία της κληρονομιάς αυτής βρίσκει τρόπο έκφρασης μέσα από την διαχείριση των βιομηχανικών καταλοί¬πων με διάφορες μορφές. Μια από τις πιο διαδεδομένες είναι αυτή της επανάχρησης. Αφού αναλύεται η έννοια της επανάχρησης, παρατίθενται οι βασικές αρχές της και παρουσιάζονται οι πιο χαρακτηριστικές μορφές της. Στη συνέχεια, γίνεται μια προσπάθεια αξιολόγησης των έως τώρα πρακτικών, θέτοντας ως κριτήριο τον βαθμό που οι πρακτικές αυτές σέβονται τον χαρακτήρα των βιομηχανικών κτιρίων και τον ρόλο που αυτά έχουν διαδραματίσει στην κοινω¬νία μέχρι σήμερα. Μέσα από την ανάλυση των προσεγγίσεων αυτών αποκαλύ¬πτεται ότι υπάρχουν πλευρές του βιομηχανικού πολιτισμού που παραμένουν αθέατες. Πλευρές που καθιστούν το βιομηχανικό κτίριο πυκνωτή κοινωνικών αξιών. Οι αξίες αυτές δεν έχουν αποτελέσει πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο στις έως τώρα επαναχρήσεις. Θέτοντας ως βάση την κοινωνική διάσταση των κτιρίων αυτών προτείνεται μια νέα μορφή επανάχρησης η οποία στηρίζεται σε δύο άξονες : τη διαχείριση της χωρικής δομής και την ανάδειξη του κοινωνικού χαρακτήρα τους. Επαναπροσδιορίζοντας τις ήδη υπάρχουσες μορφές επανάχρησης παρουσιάζονται χρήσεις που ανταποκρίνονται στο νέο χαρακτήρα του κτιρίου. Παράλληλα προτείνονται κάποια εργαλεία σχεδιασμού που λειτουργούν συ¬μπληρωματικά στις προτεινόμενες χρήσεις, για την επίτευξη του στόχου της πρότασης. Τέλος αναπτύσσονται τα συμπεράσματα τα οποία προκύπτουν από την παραπάνω έρευνα.	el
heal.abstract	The following lecture intends to approach an alternative way of reusing an industrial building and to define the role of such type of buildings in the contemporary society. The construction and development of these buildings are initially briefly presented through a timeline, beginning with the industrial revolution and ending with their abandonment during deindustrialization. These vacant buildings hold a variety of values which provide motive for the creation of numerous new terms related to the industrial heritage. The importance of industrial heritage is expressed through the different roles given to each building. At such, the adaptive reuse is the most widely established role. After defining adaptive reuse, its basic principles and unique characteristics are presented. In continuation, an attempted evaluation is conducted based on the degree of respect given to these constructions and the significant role played within its found society. After further analysis, it strongly appears that certain aspects of industrial civilization are intangible. These certain aspects amass profound social values but have not played a primary role in the practice of reuse, even as of today. Setting the social element as a dominant force, a new form of adaptive reuse is proposed based on two points: the spatial manipulation and the enhancement of its social nature. By redefining the pre-existing forms of reuse, the application of adapted uses corresponds with the new character of the building. Simultaneously, in order to achieve the target form of use, innovative designing tools are to be used in conjunction. In conclusion, the research findings are given.	en
