heal.abstract	Η εκπόνηση της παρούσας εργασίας επιδιώκει να αποδώσει με περιγραφικό και ποσοτικό τρόπο τα βασικά χαρακτηριστικά του συστήματος συνδυασμένων μεταφορών της Ανατολικής Μεσογείου, και συγκεκριμένα του υποσυστήματος Ιονίου/Αδριατικής, στο οποίο εγγράφεται ο κόμβος συνδυασμένων μεταφορών της Πάτρας, σε σύνδεση με τις συνθήκες κοινωνικοοικονομικής δυναμικής που απορρέουν από την ύπαρξη και τη μετάλλαξη αυτού του συστήματος. Ιδιαίτερη βαρύτητα δίνεται στον εντοπισμό των κρίσιμων σημείων και των ανταγωνιστικών πλεονεκτημάτων και μειονεκτημάτων που διαφοροποιούν το σύστημα μεταφορών και τον κόμβο συνδυασμένων μεταφορών της Πάτρας από τα γενικά χαρακτηριστικά των μεταφορών και των κόμβων στην υπόλοιπη Ελλάδα κι Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση. Επιπλέον στόχος της έρευνας είναι ο σε θεωρητικό επίπεδο καθορισμός της σχέσης μεταξύ κόμβων συνδυασμένων μεταφορών και περιφερειακής ανάπτυξης, η αξιολόγηση του βαθμού συμφωνίας των εφαρμογών της ευρωπαϊκής κι εθνικής πολιτικής μεταφορών με τις αρχές για τη βιώσιμη κινητικότητα, την εδαφική συνοχή και την περιφερειακή ανάπτυξη, καθώς και η αξιολόγηση του βαθμού επιρροής των διεθνών εξελίξεων και των ιδιωτικών συμφερόντων, σε οικονομικό και πολιτικό επίπεδο, όσον αφορά τη χάραξη της στρατηγικής των μεταφορών.	el
heal.abstract	The elaboration of this thesis attempts to address by quantitative and qualitative means the basic characteristics of the combined transportation system of the Eastern Mediterranean, and more precisely that of the sub-system of the Ionian/Adriatic Sea, in which the combined transportation node of Patras is inscribed, while taking into account the socioeconomic dynamics which are derived from the existence and the mutation of this system. Specifically, the identification of the critical points and of the advantages and disadvantages which differentiate the transportation node of Patras from the general characteristics of the transportation systems and nodes around the rest of Greece and of the European Union, are carefully taken into account. Furthermore, the main objective of the research, in a theoretical way, comprises the definition of the relation between combined transportation nodes and regional development, the evaluation of the degree of concordance between the applications of the European and national policies around transportation and the sustainable mobility principles. It also looks into the territorial cohesion and regional development, as well as the degree of influence of the international events and the private interests, on an economic and political level, as far as it concerns the elaboration of transportation strategies.	en
