heal.abstract	Μέσα από αυτή τη διάλεξη επιχειρούμε να αναγνώσουμε, κυρίως με μια βιωματική ματιά, τη θέση και το ρόλο της αρχιτεκτονικής και γενικότερα του χώρου στη σύγχρονη πραγματικότητα. Θεωρώντας ως δεδομένο ότι η κοινωνία με την αρχιτεκτονική έχουν σχέση βάσης-εποικοδομήματος, προσεγγίζουμε το ρόλο της αρχιτεκτονικής με μία παράλληλη αποδόμηση των σύγχρονων κοινωνικών φαινομένων και χαρακτηριστικών. Αναγνωρίζοντας ότι η σύγχρονη κοινωνία διακατέχεται από ένα πνεύμα υπερκατανάλωσης και εμπορευματοποίησης, που προωθείται και παγιώνεται από την κυρίαρχη ιδεολογία, καταλήγουμε ότι αναπόφευκτα και η αρχιτεκτονική επηρεάζεται με ένα ανάλογο τρόπο. Ο χώρος με την εκάστοτε μορφή του, αφενός εκφράζει αυτές ακριβώς τις τάσεις και την ιδεολογία υπό την οποία δημιουργήθηκε και αφετέρου τις αναπαράγει εκ νέου και επηρεάζει τον άνθρωπο προς μία συγκεκριμένη κατεύθυνση. Αναζητώντας, λοιπόν, τις εκφάνσεις της εμπορευματοποίησης στη σύγχρονη κοινωνία και λαμβάνοντας υπόψη τις διαλεκτικές σχέσεις αυτής με το χώρο, επιχειρούμε μια ανάγνωση της κάθε κτιριακής και χωρικής μονάδας ξεχωριστά, κλιμακωτά ως προς το μέγεθός τους, καταλήγοντας σε ένα πιο ευρύ σύνολο, την πόλη. Πρόθεσή μας εν τέλει είναι να θέσουμε προβληματισμούς ως προς το βαθμό που ο αρχιτέκτονας και η κοινωνία αντιλαμβάνονται όλα αυτά σύγχρονα ζητήματα αλλά και αντιδρούν σε αυτά, καθώς και το βαθμό που μπορεί να υπάρξει ουσιαστική ελευθερία μέσα στα πολύ συγκεκριμένα πλαίσια που ορίζει η κυρίαρχη ιδεολογία.	el
heal.abstract	Through this dissertation, mainly based on our living experience, we attempt to approach the role of architecture and space in the contemporary reality. Considering as a fact that society and architecture are connected to each other with such a relation as the one between base and superstructure, we try to define the role of architecture, while simultaneously we deconstruct the contemporary social phenomena and characteristics. Recognizing that the current society is dominated by a spirit of overconsumption and merchandising, promoted and established by the dominant ideology, we end up to the fact that architecture is inevitably influenced accordingly. Space and each form it could take, on the one hand, expresses these particular trends and the ideology under which it was created and on the other hand it reproduces them and manipulates people in a specific direction. Looking for the cases of merchandising in the contemporary society and taking into consideration its dialectic relation with space, we attempt an examination of each building and space as a separated creation, based on the scale of their volume, ending up to a broader scale, the city. Finally, our intention is to set questions about the extent to which architects and society realize all these contemporary issues or react in order to solve them and also whether a substantial freedom could exist in the strict context, defined by the dominant ideology.	en
