heal.abstract	Η παρούσα εργασία αφορά την αποκατάσταση του βιομηχανικού ερειπιώνα που βρίσκεται στην περιοχή Κόκκα της Τζιας και την απόδοση νέας χρήσης ως ναυταθλητικό κέντρο. Η περιοχή βρίσκεται στον κόλπο του Αγ. Νικολάου, ανάμεσα από το φάρο και τον αρχαιολογικό χώρο της Αγ. Ειρήνης που αποτελούν τοπόσημα για την περιοχή και ακριβώς απέναντι από το λιμάνι του Βουρκαρίου που αποτελεί σήμερα κέντρο θαλάσσιου τουρισμού. Στα τέλη του 19ου αι. εγκαταστάθηκε εκεί εταιρεία ανθράκευσης, που αποτέλεσε για πολλά χρόνια αργότερα ενδιάμεσο σταθμό για τα περαστικά προς το Βόσπορο και τα Δαρδανέλλια πλοία, ενώ προσέφερε στο νησί κοινωνική και οικονομική άνθιση. Σήμερα οι εγκαταστάσεις βρίσκονται σε αχρησία και χαρακτηρίζονται από έντονη εγκατάλειψη. Έτσι με κύριο γνώμονα την ανάδειξη του κτιριακού συγκροτήματος και της ιστορίας του, καθώς και το σεβασμό στο τοπίο, προτείνουμε μία πορεία που ξεκινάει από το Βουρκάρι και καταλήγει στο φάρο του Αγ. Νικολάου και ενοποιεί κι αναδεικνύει τα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος και επιλέγουμε να πραγματοποιήσουμε ήπιες επεμβάσεις στα κτίρια, ώστε να γίνουν βιώσιμα και να καλύψουν τις ανάγκες ενός σύγχρονου ναυταθλητικού κέντρου. Για την άρτια λειτουργία του τοποθετούμε συμπληρωματικές χρήσεις όπως ξενώνες κατοίκησης, ταβέρνα-αναψυκτήριο, μικρό παντοπωλείο και παρατηρητήρια. Με αυτό τον τρόπο θεωρούμε πως θα επιτευχθεί η στροφή προς έναν εναλλακτικό τουρισμό, που θα επιφέρει βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη και οικονομική ανάταση στο νησί, ιδιαίτερα τους καλοκαιρινούς μήνες, διατηρώντας ωστόσο τον παραδοσιακό του χαρακτήρα.	el
heal.abstract	This project refers to the rehabilitation of industrial ruins located in Kokka area of Kea and the installation of a sailing center. The area is located in the Bay of Ag. Nikolaos, between the lighthouse and the archaeological site of Ag. Eirini, that consist landmarks for the area and just across the harbor of Vourkari, which is nowadays a center of marine tourism. In the late 19th century a coaling station was settled in the area, which constituted for many years later a major stopover for the ships that was passing to the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles. The station was offering to the island social and economic prosperity. Today the facilities are obsolete and characterized by intense abandonment. Our suggestion in order to consolidate and highlight the points of interest, is a route, that starts from Vourkari and ends at the lighthouse of St. Nicholas, focusing on the enhancement of the Kokka complex and its history, and respect for the landscape. We also choose to carry out minor intervention on the buildings, so that they can be viable and respond to the needs of a modern sailing center. For the proper function of the place we install complementary uses such as habitation hostels, restaurant-cafeteria, small grocery and observatories. In this way we believe, we will achieve a shift to an alternative tourism, which will bring about sustainable development and economic uplift to the island, especially during the summer months, while retaining the traditional character of the area.	en
