heal.abstract	Αφορμή για τη διπλωματική εργασία αποτέλεσε η υπάρχουσα υποβάθμιση του λόφου Στρέφη και η ανάγκη για ενεργοποίση του δημόσιου χώρου. Στα πλαίσια της προσπάθειας αυτής, κρίθηκε απαραίτητη η κατανόηση του χώρου κυρίως μέσω της βιωματικής εμπειρίας με το λόφο και την ευρύτερη γειτονιά. Στόχος της πρότασής μας είναι η οργάνωση μίας διαδρομής στην οποία, μέσω του σχεδιασμού νέων προσβάσεων, συνδέουμε τα σκαλιά της οδού Μπενάκη με το 36ο δημοτικό σχολείο Εξαρχείων. Ο σχεδιασμός αφορά τη σύνθεση ενός γραμμικού παιχνιδιού στο φυσικό τοπίο της πλαγιάς που ενισχύει τη σύνδεση του σχολείου με το λόφο και καταλήγει σε μια κατασκευή για τη διεξαγωγή ημιυπαιθρίου μαθήματος και παρατήρηση της πόλης. Ο χειρισμός αυτός γίνεται στα πλαίσια του επαναπροσδιορισμού του χώρου παιχνιδιού ενώ αναιρείται η υπάρχουσα παιδική χαρά με προσθήκη χώματος και φύτευσης. Η διαδρομή συμπληρώνεται με την οργάνωση μιας μικρής πλατείας όπου στεγάζεται συλλογική κουζίνα και οργανώνονται αστικές καλλιέργειες. Ο χώρος με τις καλλιέργειες στο λόφο θα μπορούσε να ενεργοποιήσει το δημόσιο χώρο και να δημιουργήσει προϋποθέσεις συναναστροφής, συνεργασίας και ανταλλαγής ιδεών μεταξύ των πολιτών ενώ δίνεται και ευκαιρία στα παιδιά της πόλης να εξοικειωθούν με τα καλλιεργήσιμα είδη. Με βάση αυτή την ιδέα, σε επόμενο στάδιο προτείνουμε τη δημιουργία μικρών κήπων στο σχολείο για την αφομοίωση των μεθόδων καλλιέργειας μέσω της πρακτικής εφαρμογής. Για την πραγματοποίηση της ιδέας μας, στηριχθήκαμε στη βοήθεια του Συλλόγου γονέων και κηδεμόνων και κυρίως στη δράση της Επιτροπής Πρωτοβουλίας Κατοίκων Εξαρχείων στην οποία οφείλονται αρκετά δρώμενα σχετικά με το δημόσιο χώρο.	el
heal.abstract	The motivation for our diploma thesis is the existing degradation of the Strefis Hill and the necessity for the activation of public space. Within this attempt, the comprehension of the place was essential, mainly through the experience of the hill and the overall neighborhood. The proposal is organized around a route that, through the redefinition of the access of the hill, connects the Mpenaki street with the 36th Elementary School of Exarchia. The designed path includes a route-play in the forest landscape that reinforces the connection of the elementary school with the hill and ends up at a metal structure that serves ,on the one hand, as an outdoor classroom and on the other hand, as an observation deck for the city. Furthermore, in the context of redefinition of the concept of playing, we propose the replacement of the existing playground with a natural landscape. In addition, a small open space where a collective kitchen and a farm space are proposed, completes the network. The crops space could set the appropriate conditions for an active contact with green culture and social gathering and give the opportunity to children living in urban environment get involved in the process of farming. Based on this idea, the next level of the proposal involves the establishment of experimental garden in the elementary’s schoolyard for the assimilation of the cultivation process through practical application. The concept of our project is based on the collaboration between the Parent-Teacher Association and the Exarchia Residents Organization which is an active residents initiative that is fighting with multiple socio-spatial problems.	en
