heal.generalDescription	This thesis concers the creation of an archaeological museum-research center in Paroikia, the capital and main port of Paros. Apart from the main exhibition of findings from the wider area of Paros-Antiparos-Despotiko, the center will provide research-preservation-storage facilities as well as spaces for culture-education, as the existing museum is found insufficient to meet those ends. The site where the project is located, in the periphery of Paroikia, includes an archaeological site of houses of the Hellenistic period which is largely neglected at the moment. Due to the confirmed existence of more antiquities in the area, we are planning a specific zone of intervention, under which lies the protected historical layer. This layer is partly revealed either outside or inside the museum complex. The aim is also to connect the study area with with the existing archaeological spaces of Paroikia as well as the town center, through a network of paths. We intend to create an archaeological park (part of which is the museum) that will constitute the central point between various routes of historical interest. In the process of designing the whole complex, a variety of views to specific archaeological sites, local landmarks and sites of natural beauty was taken into account. These optical connections are provided for by the slightly elevated position of the site 's terrain as well as the roof of the main museum building , which is accessible to visitors in its entirety. The findings exhibited at the existing museum where thoroughly studied, categorised and positioned anew in the project 's exhibition area according to a certain parameters.	en

heal.abstract	Η παρούσα διπλωματική αφορά τη δημιουργία ενός αρχαιολογικού μουσείου-ερευνητικού κέντρου στην Παροικιά της Πάρου, ικανού να στεγάσει τις ανάγκες μελέτης, συντήρησης και προβολής του εξαιρετικά πλούσιου αρχαιολογικού υλικού που παρέχει το νησί αλλά και το ευρύτερο σύμπλεγμα Αντιπάρου-Δεσποτικού , καθώς το υπάρχον αρχαιολογικό μουσείο κρίνεται ανεπαρκές. Η περιοχή μελέτης, στην περιφέρεια της πόλης, περιλαμβάνει αρχαιολογικό χώρο ελληνιστικών οικιών με ψηφιδωτά δάπεδα που στην παρούσα φάση βρίσκεται σε υποβάθμιση. Λόγω της επιβεβαιωμένης ύπαρξης περεταίρω αρχαιοτήτων στην περιοχή, περιορίζουμε την επέμβασή μας σε βάθος μέχρι μια συγκεκριμένη στάθμη. Προσδιορίζεται έτσι μια ζώνη προστασίας του ιστορικού υποβάθρου, στην οποία θεωρούμε αυθαίρετα κάποια σημεία ανάδειξης με τη μορφή είτε περεταίρω εξωτερικών σκαμμάτων είτε ορατών τμημάτων εντός του μουσείου . Δίνεται ιδιαίτερη σημασία στη σύνδεση της περιοχής μελέτης με γειτονικούς αρχαιολογικούς χώρους της Παροικιάς αλλά και με το κέντρο της πόλης μέσα από συγκεκριμένες διαδρομές. Στοχεύουμε έτσι στη δημιουργία ενός ευρύτερου αρχαιολογικού πάρκου-πλατείας, που να περιλαβάνει το μουσειακό συγκρότημα, ως κεντρικό σημείο αναφοράς ενταγμένο στο δίκτυο διαδρομών ιστορικού ενδιαφέροντος. Για το σχεδιασμό του λήθφηκαν υπόψιν ιδιαίτερα οι οπτικές φυγές προς ποικίλους αρχαιολογικούς χώρους απ όπου έχουμε ευρήματα αλλά και προς χαρακτηριστικά τοπόσημα της περιοχής και τοπία φυσικής ομορφιάς. Οι οπτικές αυτές επαφές εξασφαλίζονται από την ελαφριά υπερύψωση του τοπικού λόφου αλλά και μέσω του εξ οκλήρου βατού δώματος του κτιρίου. Τα ευρήματα που εκτίθενται στο υπάρχον αρχαιολογικού μουσείο Πάρου έχουν μελετηθεί εκτενώς, ομαδοποιηθεί εκ νέου και τοποθετηθεί με συγκεκριμένο τρόπο στον εκθεσιακό χώρο της πρότασής μας.	el
