heal.abstract	Η παρούσα μελέτη εξετάζει τον πρωταρχικό ρόλο της ανάπτυξης του εμπορίου στην συγκρότηση και στην εξέλιξη των εμπορικών πόλεων της Βόρειας Ευρώπης. Κατά την περίοδο του Μεσαίωνα στην περιοχή της Βαλτικής συγκροτήθηκε η πρώτη ευρωπαϊκή εμπορική-αμυντική ομοσπονδία, η Χανσεατική Λίγκα. Αυτή σφυρηλάτησε τους εμπορικούς δεσμούς μεταξύ των κρατών του Βορρά οι οποίοι διαμόρφωσαν τη βάση των σύγχρονων οικονομικών δομών του δυτικού κόσμου. Η Χανσεατική Λίγκα αποτέλεσε την κινητήρια δύναμη ανάπτυξης του Βορρά και οι επιρροές τις είναι εμφανείς και σε πόλεις εκτός της επικράτειάς της. Οι κυριότερες πόλεις της Χάνσα αποτέλεσαν εμπορικούς πυρήνες σε διαφορετικές περιοχές της χανσεατικής επικράτειας σε διαφορετικές χρονικές περιόδους από τον 12ο εως 16ο αιώνα. Παρ' όλες τις διαφοροποιήσεις τους στην προέλευση και στη γεωγραφική θέση, οι πόλεις αυτές διαθέτουν κοινά χαρακτηριστικά στις κοινωνικές, οικονομικές και χωρικές δομές, τα οποία αποτελούν την χωρική έκφραση της εμπορικής δραστηριότητας. Άλλωστε μελετώντας το μοντέλο των χανσεατικών πόλεων σε αντιπαράθεση με την εμπορική κυρίαρχο της Μεσογείου, τη Βενετία, παρατηρείτε ότι τελικά οι δύο πόλεις φέρουν το χωρικό αποτύπωμα του εμπορίου.	el
heal.abstract	The study examines the impact of the development of commerce in the development of the cities in North Europe. During the middle ages around the Baltic Sea the first commercial- defensive alliance of Europe was created: the Hanseatic League. Hansa was the one that forged the connections between the states of Northern Europe, creating the basis of the modern economic structure of the West. Hansa was the driving force that led the development of the North and its influence became apparent even in cities outside its territory. The main Hanseatic cities were the commercial nucleus in different regions of the North and at different time periods from the 12th to the 16th century. Despite all the differences in their origin and location, these cities shared common social, economic and organizational structures, which form the spatial expression of the commercial activity. By analyzing the model of Lubeck, the archetypical Hansa town, versus Venice, the dominant Mediterranean commercial city, we notice that eventually the two cities bear a similar spatial footprint created by the commercial activity.	en
