heal.abstract	Η πολυκατοικία της αντιπαροχής ως ένας αστικός μύθος. Ένα σύνολο παραμέτρων, όπως οι συνθήκες παραγωγής, το θεσμικό πλαίσιο αλλά και ο νέος τρόπος ζωής της αστικοποίησης καθόρισαν τη μονάδα, που επαναλαμβανόμενη παρήγαγε την νεοελληνική πόλη. Για την κατανόησή της ως υλικής, πολιτισμικής και ιδεολογικής κατασκευής ανατρέχουμε στις πρώτες μεταπολεμικές δεκαετίες, περίοδο που προηγείται και προετοιμάζει την μαζική αναπαραγωγή της. Επιλέγουμε την ‘ανάγνωσή’ της μέσα από τον Τύπο της περιόδου, και συγκεκριμένα από ένα περιοδικό, την Αρχιτεκτονική του Α.Κιτσίκη, που εκδίδεται από το ’57 ως το ’69 και επικρατεί στους αρχιτεκτονικούς κύκλους της εποχής, απευθυνόμενο όμως και σε ευρύτερο κοινό. Ως έντυπο μέσο προβάλλει εν μέρει την πραγματικότητα και τατόχρονα κατασκευάζει το φαντασιακό. Εστιάζοντας στο περιοδικό ως βασική πηγή υλικού, συλλέγουμε στοιχεία από μια ποικιλία δημοσιεύσεων που αφορούν τον σχεδιασμό, την παραγωγή και προώθηση της πολυκατοικίας, και την κατοίκηση στο διαμέρισμα, εμβαθύνοντας παράλληλα στις αναπαραστάσεις της και στο ευρύτερο πλαίσιο μιας μεταβαλλόμενης εποχής. Τα παράλληλα αφηγήματα-δημοσιεύματα του περιοδικού, αποκαλύπτουν και κωδικοποιούν στοιχεία για το Μοντέλο και τους Κανόνες του, ορίζουν τα Πρότυπα, συμβουλεύουν με τον Οδηγό Κατοικίας και προωθούν καταναλωτικά Μηνύματα, θεμελιώνοντας τη νεωτερική αστική φαντασίωση. Ο μύθος της αστικής πολυκατοικίας ανασυντίθεται από τις οι έντυπες αναπαραστάσεις του περιοδικού, προδιαγράφοντας την ροή της πρακτικής τις επόμενες δεκαετίες.	el
heal.abstract	Polykatoikia, the athenian apartment building, as an urban myth. A multifold of factors linked to the way of production, the legal framework, the ‘promoted’ lifestyle, defined the modular unit that seems to have produced, through its repetition, up to a great extent, post-War Athens. In order to better understand the banal and what represents nowadays the majority of the building stock of the Athenian urban center, we go back to the first post-war decades, a period that precedes and prepares for the extensive ‘cloning’ of apartment buildings the coming years. Polykatoikia’s emergence as a multivalent ideal was boosted mainly through the media of the period. ‘Architectoniki’ was an expertized architectural magazine –which has been published bimonthly during the decade 1957- 1967- and aimed also at a broader reading public. The medium was selected as the main source of material, on the ground that the collection and analysis of the different publications concerning the design and advertisement of the polykatoikia, as well as the interior design of the apartment, would reconstruct the forwarded perception of Polykatoikia. The various publications act as different narratives about our main issue of concern, that codify and reveal clues about the urban Model, its Rules and Norms, while consulting the occupants with its Home Guide and promoting commercial Messages. This project seeks to describe and recompose the urban myth via the printed representations of the magazine· a myth that largely indicates the practice during the following decades.	en
