heal.abstract	Η παρούσα διπλωματικής πραγματεύεται το θέμα της συλλογικής κατοίκησης στο κέντρο της Αθήνας. Η εργασία στηρίχθηκε σε δύο βασικούς άξονες. Αφενός στην ανάγκη για επιστροφή της κατοικίας στο κέντρο και αφετέρου τη σκοπιμότητα της επανάχρησης των κενών κελυφών της πόλης. Η πρόταση, η οποία έχει επεκτάσιμο και επανεπεξεργάσιμο χαρακτήρα, προσπαθεί να εξετάσει ζητήματα ένταξης και διατήρησης, με στόχο την αναβάθμιση των συνθηκών διαβίωσης και την αντίσταση στην κοινωνική ισοπέδωση. Μελετώντας πιλοτικά την ευρύτερη περιοχή του Γερανίου, προσπαθήσαμε να εξετάσουμε με ποιους όρους θα μπορούσε να λειτουργήσει ένα συνολικό μοντέλο συλλογικής- κοινωνικής οργάνωσης σε μία περιοχή που συνοψίζει το σύνολο των χαρακτηριστικών του κέντρου της πόλης. Αφού έγινε καταγραφή των κτισμάτων της περιοχής τα οποία παραμένουν κενά χρήσης εδώ και χρόνια, προτείναμε τη χωροθέτηση χρήσεων εστίασης, πολιτισμού, ψυχαγωγίας, εκπαίδευσης και κοινωνικών υποδομών με κοινόχρηστο ή αυτοδιαχειριζόμενο χαρακτήρα. Αξιοποιώντας ενδεικτικά ένα υπάρχων κέλυφος επί της πλατείας θεάτρου, δημιουργήσαμε ένα συγκρότημα κατοικιών (το κτίριο συνδυάζει και άλλες χρήσεις, όπως γραφεία ιατρικής-νομικής-ψυχολογικής στήριξης και χώρους ψυχαγωγίας στο ισόγειο), το οποίο προσπαθεί να προάγει την ιδέα μίας συλλογικής αλληλέγγυας κατοίκησης, τοποθετώντας στο επίκεντρο κοινόχρηστες χρήσεις και δράσεις.	el
heal.abstract	This project deals with the issue of collective habitation in the center of Athens. The study was based on two main axes. On the one hand, the need for residence to reappear in the center of Athens was discussed while on the other hand, the feasibility of reuse of the city's vacant buildings was considered. The proposal, which is of a flexible and expandable character, attempts to examine inclusion and conservation issues with the aim of improving living conditions and thus contradicting social leveling. Taking into consideration the region of Gerani as a key-study, we tried to observe the conditions under which a model of collective and social organization would work effectively in a region that includes all the positive and negative aspects of a city center. At first, we located all the uninhabited buildings in Gerani. After writing them down and identifying their specific characteristics, we proposed different uses for each building. Particularly, the conversion of unoccupied buildings into restaurants or places to host cultural, entertaining or educational activities was suggested. It is believed that such usage would respond to a social model and urge users to take shared responsibility over those buildings. Taking as an example an already existing building in Theatrou Square, we created a residential complex which combines uses of medical, legal and psychological support as well as education and entertainment in an attempt to promote the idea of collective habitation and to foster a sense of solidarity through social actions.	en
