heal.abstract	Η συζήτηση για την κατασκευή του νέου αρχαιολογικού μουσείου Επιδαύρου ξεκινά ήδη πριν από περίπου 60 χρόνια. Παρότι έγινε σειρά προτάσεων το 1956, το 1985, το 2000 εκ των οποίων, για διαφορετικούς λόγους, καμία δεν υλοποιήθηκε. Το θέμα επανήλθε το 2014 από το Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού με μία συνολικότερη πρόταση ανάπλασης του αρχαιολογικού χώρου, μέρος της οποίας είναι και ένα νέο αρχαιολογικό μουσείο. Με αφορμή τα παραπάνω υπαρκτά δεδομένα, αναζητούμε τις προϋποθέσεις και τους περιορισμούς με βάση τους οποίους ένα αρχαιολογικό μουσείο μπορεί να ενταχθεί σε ένα ιστορικό χώρο με μεγάλο και σημαντικό παρελθόν, όπως η Επίδαυρος. Πέρα από τη λειτουργία του ως τόπος έκθεσης των σημαντικών ευρημάτων που βρίσκονται στις αποθήκες του αρχαιολογικού χώρου, ο κύριος στόχος μας για το Νέο Μουσείο είναι να αναλάβει ενεργό ρόλο στην περιήγηση του επισκέπτη, ολοκληρώνοντας την αίσθηση που αποπνέει το Ασκληπιείο ως τόπος ίασης. Ο αρχαιολογικός χώρος έχει πολύ ισχυρό και ενδιαφέρον παρελθόν το οποίο αξίζει να προβληθεί στο Νέο Μουσείο, ώστε ο επισκέπτης να μάθει τι ήταν και πως λειτουργούσε το Ασκληπιείο στην αρχαιότητα και πώς τα στοιχεία της φύσης συνδυάστηκαν με την ίαση των ασθενών και την εξέλιξη της ιατρικής επιστήμης.	el
heal.abstract	Discussions about erecting a new Archaeological Museum in Epidaurus began as early as 60 years ago. Despite a number of proposals in 1956, 1985 and 2000 –all of which remained in paper for various reasons- the issue was brought again into discussion in 2014 by the Hellenic Ministry of Tourism as part of an overall proposal for reconstructing the archaeological site, including the erection of a new Archaeological Museum. Based on this background history, we explore the conditions and the compositional restrictions under which a new Archaeological Museum can be integrated in a historical place of such an important past as Epidaurus. Our goal for the New Museum is to serve beyond the evident function of an exhibitional space for the significant findings left at the storage areas of the existing archaeological site: we mainly design a Museum that will actively guide the visitor to a full perception of the Asklepeion as a healing place above all and the sensation that goes with it. The archaeological site has a very vivid past that deserves to be exposed at the New Museum, offering the visitor a chance to find out what the Asklepeion was, how it functioned in ancient times and how the elements of nature were combined with the healing of patients and the evolution of medicine.	en
