heal.abstract	Από το ενδιαφέρον για την αρχιτεκτονική σύνθεση και τις στρατηγικές σχεδιασμού προκύπτει η έρευνα στα διαγράμματα. Συγκεκριμένα τον προσδιορισμό των ιδιοτήτων τους και μια ιστορική τοποθέτηση σε σχέση με άλλες προσεγγίσεις. Μέσα από παραδείγματα αρχιτεκτονικού έργου γίνεται εμβάθυνση στο κτισμένο αποτέλεσμα της διαγραμματικής λογικής με σκοπό την διερεύνηση της αξίας της στρατηγικής αυτής ως εργαλείο σχεδιασμού.	el
heal.abstract	The research on diagrams originates from an interest in architectural design and design strategies and as such the definition of its qualities and historical roots in regards to others similar approaches. Deepening of built diagrammatic logic is accomplished through examples of built architectural works with aim to explore the diagram as a design instrument. The relationship between part and whole as well as the way the brain functions during the design process is noted. The first uses of the diagram by the modernists as systems of lines and circles are mentioned.A critique of the way the Ecole des Beaux Arts functioned is set as point of reference and comparison. After presenting a definition of the diagram the three categories of interest are presented and explained. These are, information diagrams, function diagrams and form giving diagrams. A separate reference is made to digital expression and computer use. Through the work of Ben van Berkel, Peter Eisenman, Greg Lynn, MVRDV and Kazuyo Sejima and specific examples of their architecture and general approach an effort is made to comprehend the function of the diagram in the built environment. Finally the following conclusions are derived : abstraction in diagrams, variety in diagrams, difficulty in application, non wide spread use. This lecture is an effort to promote the view of the diagram as powerful means of architectural intervention and approach in design.	en
