heal.abstract	This text discusses the basic results of Descriptive Set Theory and ,more specifically, the Theory of Analytic Sets. The notions of Souslin and Hausdorff schemes are introduced as combinatorial tools that take advantage of the structure of both Baire's and Cantor's space. Furthermore, characterizations of standard models are discussed. Finally, the relation between Analytic and Borel subsets of Polish spaces is examined and answers are given to questions like the Continuum Hypothesis for Analytic and Borel sets.	en
heal.abstract	Στην παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία, παρουσιάζονται βασικά στοιχεία της Περιγραφικής Θεωρίας Συνόλων και, πιο συγκεκριμένα, της Θεωρίας των Αναλυτικών Συνόλων. Εισάγονται οι έννοιες των σχημάτων Souslin και Hausdorff, εργαλεία συνδυαστικής φύσης που εκμεταλλεύονται τη δομή των χώρων Baire και Cantor. Επιπλέον, δίνονται χαρακτηρισμοί καθιερωμένων μοντέλων μετρικοποιήσιμων χώρων. Τέλος, εξετάζεται η σχέση μεταξύ αναλυτικών και Borel υποσυνόλων Πολωνικών χώρων και δίνονται απαντήσεις σε ερωτήματα όπως η Υπόθεση του Συνεχούς για τα αναλυτικά και Borel σύνολα.	el
