heal.abstract	Η διπλωματική εργασία αφορά στον αρχιτεκτονικό ανασχεδιασμό υπάρχοντος κτιρίου στον Πειραιά, πλησίον του Δημοτικού Θεάτρου, με σκοπό να γίνει το νέο Δικαστικό Μέγαρο Πειραιά. Κύρια αντικείμενα της μελέτης ήταν, πρώτον, η δημιουργία του κτιριολογικού προγράμματος, με σκοπό να χωρέσουν όσο το δυνατόν πιο πολλές υπηρεσίες, και δεύτερον, η δημιουργία προτάσεων όψεων του κτιρίου.	el
heal.abstract	The purpose of our Degree Thesis is to redraw the spaces of an existing building in the region of Piraeus, near the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, which was unfinished for decades, Some internal or external walls was the only thing constructed in the building. This high-rise building contains an amplitude of a city block. It is a nine-storey building and comprises the basement, the ground floor which faces to Kolokotroni street, the mezzanine, the ground floor which faces to Iroon Polytechniou avenue and A,B,C,D,E floors. According to the local authorities, the building is intended to be the Law Court Building of Piraeus. The building programme of the courthouse, which was based on the suggestion of the company "Themis Constructions", is being drafted, however, was enriched and completed with elements that either had not been taken into account or were deficient. The building has a capacity of one hundred and fifty-two parking spots in its inside and there is a possibility that one hundred and twenty-nine more spots can be rented from the metro parking lot which is currently being constructed on the other side of the square. In the rest of the building the following services can be accommodated: the First Instance Court, Public prosecutor’s office of First Instance Court, Appellate Court, Public prosecutor’s office of Appellate Court, Forensic Medical Service, as well as storerooms-stockrooms for the files of the above services, and offices for the Law Society and Employee Association. The second basic part of the Degree Thesis has to do with the creation of the exterior of the building. We suggest two solutions on the matter. According to both options, there is an obvious need to complete the building in the small recesses that form the cross-like characteristics. As far as the first suggestion is concerned, these small recesses are completed by concrete beams and pillars that aim to provide the offices with shade. At the main entrance of the building, a concrete shell is made both horizontally and vertically, which intends to give, apart from the shade, an intensity at the main profile of the building and an emphasis on the horizontality. As for the second suggestion goes, the concrete recess completion remains, but this time at the main entrance of the building, on its south profile, a metal shell is vertically erected, embraces the top floor and is completed at the back parking entrance, at the north profile, in order to lighten up the building's character, as well as to “relieve” it from its pompous and massive style and give an emphasis on the perpendicularity .	en
