heal.abstract	Το θέμα της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι «Το Σαράι της οικογένειας μπέηδων Ντίνο», στη Λιόψη Θεσπρωτίας. Η Λιόψη είναι ένας από τους εγκαταλελειμένους, πλέον, οικισμούς Τσάμηδων, κοντά στα ελληνοαλβανικά σύνορα και η οικογένεια Ντίνο, ήταν μία από τις πιο γνωστές και ισχυρές οικογένειες της Τσαμουριάς, που διαδραμάτησε σημαντικό ρόλο στην πολιτική σκηνή και πνευματική δημιουργία, κατά το 19ο και 20ο αι. Το σαράι, που κάποτε δέσποζε στο λόφο του Ξηροβουνίου, σήμερα βρίσκεται σε ερειπιώδη κατάσταση. Αρχικά, ξετυλίγεται η ζωή της οικογένειας Ντίνο. Η κοινωνική της θέση και τη σχέση της με τη Δύση, η δύναμη και η επιρροή που ασκούσε, διαδραμάτισαν σημαντικό ρόλο στην κατασκευή και μορφή του κτίσματος προς μελέτη. Στη συνέχεια αποδίδεται το γενικότερο πολιτισμικό πλαίσιο και επιδιώκεται να αποτυπωθεί το κλίμα που επικρατούσε στην περιοχή της σημερινής νοτίου Αλβανίας και Θεσπρωτίας κατά την περίοδο της Οθωμανικής επικυριαρχίας. Τα συγκεκριμένα κοινωνικοπολιτικά δεδομένα είχαν επιπτώσεις στην χωρική οργάνωση και κατ’ επέκταση στη διαμόρφωση της οχυρωμένης κατοικίας με πύργους (kulla), που απασχολεί ιδιαίτερα την παρούσα εργασία. Ακολουθεί η αποτύπωση ολόκληρου του συγκροτήματος του σαραγιού και η συνοπτική ανάλυση των επιμέρους στοιχείων του. Έμφαση δίνεται στη δυτική κατοικία, η οποία αναλύεται και παρουσιάζεται εκτενέστερα. Πέραν της περιγραφής των χώρων και των μορφών, μελετούνται η κατασκευή του κτίσματος και οι βλάβες που προκλήθηκαν από διάφορα αίτια. Τα τεκμήρια που συγκεντρώθηκαν οδηγούν σε πιθανή αναπαράσταση, εκτίμηση της χρονολογίας κατασκευής και σε συγκριτικές προσεγγίσεις με άλλα αντίστοιχα κτίσματα της περιοχής. Η εργασία ολοκληρώνεται με την πρόταση συνολικής ανάδειξης του συγκροτήματος της Λιόψης. Παρουσιάζονται οι φάσεις των επεμβάσεων όπως και η λεπτομερής πρόταση αποκατάστασης και επανάχρησης της δυτικής κατοικίας. Το σαράι μετατρέπεται σε Ξενώνα και Κέντρο Εκπαίδευσης και Ενημέρωσης, που θα προβάλλει τη φυσική και πολιτιστική κληρονομιά του τόπου. Στα πλαίσια της ανάδειξης του μνημείου, προτείνεται η αποκατάσταση της αρχικής μορφής, ενώ στο εσωτερικό του κτιρίου οι χώροι σχεδιάζονται εκ νέου, με σύγχρονα μέσα και προσέγγιση, με σκοπό να εξυπηρετήσουν τη νέα λειτουργία και παράλληλα να τονίσουν την αρχιτεκτονική μορφή του κτίσματος.	el
heal.abstract	This diploma project concerns the fortified dwelling (sarai) of Dino Bey family, in Liopsi of Thesprotia. Today, Liopsi is an abandoned settlement, located on the borderline between Greece and Albania. Dino family was on of the most famous and powerful Chams families of the region (named Tsamouria/Chameria), with important contribution in the political scene and intellectual creation of the 19th and 20th century. The dwelling, that once dominated the hill of Xirovouni, is nowadays ruined in an important degree. Initially, the life of Dino family is unreeled. Its social status and the relationship to the West, as well as its power and influence, played a great rolle in the construstion system and the architectural form of the sarai. Subsequently, the broader cultural context is ascribed and the prevailing climate in the region of today's southern Albania and Thesprotia during the Ottoman domination is reflected. These sociopolitical data had an impact on the spatial organization and thereby shape the fortified dwellings with towers (kulla), especially mentioned in this project. Moreover, the entire complex is depicted with architectural plans. The residence located on the west of the complex is emphasized and analyzed extensively. The construction of the building and the damages are also analyzed. All the evidence/data gathered, suggest a possible representation, assessment of the chronology of the sarai and a comparative approach to other similar buildings in the area. The work concludes with the proposal for the highlighting the monument of Liopsi. The constuction phases are being analysed, as well as the detailed proposal for rehabilitation and reuse of the western residence. The sarai is converted into a Hostel combined with an Educational and Information Center. The Center will highlight the natural and cultural heritage of the place. As part of the enhancement of the monument, the restoration of the suggested/ initial form is proposed, while the interior of the building spaces are designed from scratch with contemporaty means and approach. The proposal aims both to serve the new function and to accentuate the architectural form of the building.	en
