heal.abstract	Οι συνεχώς αυξανόμενες ανάγκες σε νερό καθιστούν επιτακτική ανάγκη την ορθή διαχείριση υδατικών πόρων. Στην παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία εξετάζεται η εξασφάλιση υδροδότησης της Φολεγάνδρου. Εξετάζονται οι σημερινές και μελλοντικές υδατικές ανάγκες του νησιού και προτείνονται λύσεις που θα εξασφαλίσουν τις απαιτούμενες ποσότητες νερού. Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο γίνεται αναφορά στις γενικές αρχές της διαχείρισης των υδατικών πόρων καθώς και στο πρόβλημα της λειψυδρίας στα άνυδρα νησιά του Αιγαίου. Επίσης παρουσιάζεται το αντικείμενο της διπλωματικής εργασίας, για τη μελέτη επάρκειας των υδατικών πόρων στη Φολέγανδρο. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο γίνεται εκτενής παρουσίαση των γενικών χαρακτηριστικών του νησιού της Φολεγάνδρου όπως είναι τα γεωγραφικά χαρακτηριστικά, η διοικητική δομή, το κλίμα κ.α. Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο υπολογίζονται οι απαιτούμενες ποσότητες νερού σε ημερήσια και μηνιαία βάση για το τρέχον έτος 2015 και για τα έτη 2031 και 2041. Για τον υπολογισμό του όγκου νέρου έγιναν οι αντίστοιχες εκτιμήσεις αύξησης του μόνιμου και εποχιακού πληθυσμού του νησιού καθώς ο πληθυσμός αποτελεί την κύρια αιτία αύξησης της κατανάλωσης μιας και δεν συναντώνται άλλες μορφές κατανάλωσης στο νησί όπως η άρδευση και η βιομηχανία. Ακολούθως, στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο, γίνεται η τεχνική περιγραφή των υφιστάμενων έργων. Αυτά είναι το εργοστάσιο αφαλάτωσης, οι δεξαμενές αποθήκευσης νερού καθώς και ο τρόπος που διανέμεται το νερό στους εκάστοτε οικισμούς και στις δεξαμενές ρύθμισης. Περιγράφονται όλα τα χαρακτηριστικά τους, η χρήση τους, και οι δυνατότητες τους ώστε να διαστασιολογηθούν στη συνέχεια τα νέα έργα. Στο πέμπτο κεφάλαιο περιγράφεται η αφαλάτωση. Αναφέρονται ιστορικά στοιχεία, πληροφορίες για τη χρήση της αφαλάτωσης ανά τον κόσμο και αναλύονται οι μέθοδοι αφαλάτωσης, η τεχνολογια τους και οι δυνατότητες της κάθε μεθόδου. Επίσης γίνεται σύγκριση των μεθόδων και αναλύονται οι περιβαλλοντικές επιπτώσεις από τη λειτουργία των έργων αφαλάτωσης. Στο έκτο κεφάλαιο, γίνεται η πρόταση των έργων που απαιτούνται για την κάλυψη των υδατικών αναγκών του νησιού. Αρχικά γίνεται η διαστασιολόγηση δύο μονάδων αφαλάτωσης με τη μέθοδο της αντίστροφης όσμωσης για την αύξηση των ποσοτήτων πόσιμου νερού. Έπειτα γίνεται η τεχνική περιγραφή δύο προκατασκευασμένων μεταλλικών δεξαμενών που θα συναρμολογηθούν σε προκαθορισμένα σημεία για την αύξηση της αποθήκευσης νερού. Ακολουθούν όλα τα τεχνικά χαρακτηριστικά των δύο έργων καθώς και οικονομικά στοιχεία τους, το κόστος για την προμήθεια και εγκατάσταση αυτών, καθώς και τη λειτουργία τους. Τέλος στο έβδομο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζονται τα συμπεράσματα της εργασίας.	el
heal.abstract	The continuously increasing needs in water render the proper management of water resources as an imperative need. The present dissertation examines the insurance of water supply of the island Folegandros. The current and future water needs of the island are investigated and solutions are proposed which will ensure the required quantities of water. The first chapter refers to the basic principles of the water resources management as well as to the problem of water shortage in the arid islands of the Aegean Sea. Furthermore, it presents the subject of this dissertation, which is a study on water resources sufficiency in the island Folegandros. In the second chapter, there is an extensive presentation of the general characteristics of the island Folegandros such as its geographic characteristics, its administrative structure, its climate, etc. In the third chapter, the required quantities of water are calculated on a daily and monthly base for the current year 2015 and for the years 2031 and 2041. For the calculation of the water volume the respective estimations have been made on the increase in the permanent and the seasonal population of the island, hence the population constitutes the main cause of increase in the water consumption, as there are no other forms of consumption in the island such as irrigation and industry. Subsequenly, in the fourth chapter, there is a technical description of the existing works. These are the desalination factory, the water storage reservoirs as well as the way that the water is distributed in each settlement and in the regulation reservoirs. All their characteristics, their use, and their possibilities are described in order to later on estimate the dimensions of the new works. In the fifth chapter the desalination is described. The historical facts and the information on the use of desalination worldwide are reported, and moreover the methods of desalination, their technology and the possibilities of each method are analyzed. In addition, a comparison of the methods is made, and the environmental repercussions from the operation of the desalination works are analyzed. In the sixth chapter, a proposal is made about the required works for the coverage of the water needs of the island. Firstly, the measurement is made of the dimensions of the two desalination units with the reverse osmosis method for the increase of the quantities of potable water. It is followed by the technical description of the two prefabricated metal reservoirs, which are going to be assembled in predetermined points for the increase of water storage. Further on, all the technical characteristics of the two works are mentioned as well as their financial information, the cost for the supply and installation of these, as well as their operation. Finally, in the seventh chapter the conclusions of this dissertation are presented.	en
