heal.abstract	Στόχος της παρούσας εργασίας είναι η αναζήτηση και προβολή της ιστορικής φυσιογνωμίας της πόλης του Πύργου, που συνδέεται άρρηκτα με την πρωτογενή παραγωγή και ιδιαίτερα με την παραγωγή και εμπορία του προϊόντος της κορινθιακής σταφίδας. Επιδίωξή μου είναι αφενός, η επανασύνδεση των κατοίκων της πόλης με την εύφορη γη του τόπου και αφετέρου, η προσέλκυση επισκεπτών με περιεχόμενο το παραγωγικό παρελθόν της. Η πορεία της εργασίας περιλαμβάνει αρχικά την περιγραφή της γεωγραφικής θέσης και του χαρακτήρα της ευρύτερης περιοχής. Στη συνέχεια, την καταγραφή της ιστορικής εξέλιξης του Πύργου και πως αυτή επηρεάστηκε καθοριστικά από τις διακυμάνσεις της παραγωγής και εξαγωγής της σταφίδας. Έπειτα, αναλύεται και παρουσιάζεται η καθημερινότητα και τα χωρικά χαρακτηριστικά και οι λειτουργίες της σύγχρονης πόλης. Με βάση αυτά, γίνεται μια συνολική πρόταση για την αναβάθμιση – πολεοδομική και κτιριακή- της εικόνας της πόλης με τη δημιουργία ενός δικτύου για την προβολή και σύνδεση των στοιχείων που φέρνουν στη μνήμη την παλιά της αίγλη. Τέλος, σε ένα κομμάτι αυτού του δικτύου που βρίσκεται στο περιαστικό περιβάλλον, στην είσοδο της πόλης, προτείνεται ένα ολοκληρωμένο παραγωγικό σύστημα που περιλαμβάνει όλες τις φάσεις από την καλλιέργεια μέχρι τη διάθεση του προϊόντος της σταφίδας.	el
heal.abstract	The aim of this project is the seeking and projection of the historical character of the town of Pyrgos, strongly related to the primary production and especially to the production and commercial distribution of the product of the Corinthian raisin, known as currant. The primary goal is, on one hand, the reconnection of the town’s inhabitants with the fertile land of the region and, on the other hand, the attraction of visitors, interested in the town’s productive past. The sequence of the project contains, first, the description of the geographic location of Pyrgos and the character of the wider area. Second, the register of the historical evolution of Pyrgos and the way that this was determined by the fluctuations in the production and exports of the currant. In addition, the everyday life and the spatial characteristics and functions of the modern town are analyzed and presented. Based on this analysis, a proposal is made for the upgrade of the urban and architectural image of Pyrgos. A network is created for the connection of the elements that are reminiscent of the town’s past glory. Finally, a fragment of this network, situated in the suburban environment, in the town entrance, is designed as a complete production system, that contains all phases from the cultivation to the distribution of the product of the currant.	en
