heal.generalDescription	This architectural diploma project was triggered by music and turned into an attempt to the architecture of music at a familiar place. Megara is a city of 37.000 residents located 40km west of Athens. The first municipal conservatory of the city was roofed under a moderately reformed 90’s building and began operating at 2011. This specific building was not only designed and constructed without the safety restrictions necessary in a structure appropriate for educational purposes, but also lacks the space to accommodate the functions of a municipal conservatory. The location of the building that accommodates the function of the municipal conservatory of Megara appears to be an urban-educational node. Adjacent to the city’s entrance through the national road that leads from Athens to Korinthos, the site the building stands features plenty of neglected outdoor free spaces available for landscaping, is surrounded by 6 schools, and neighbors with a park where cultural events of the city take place. Based on the idea of the educational approach that leans towards a complex pedagogy form that does not conform to the norms of a one-dimensional educational system, and, given the total absence of organized facilities to accommodate the purpose of musical education in the city, I suggest, via my diploma project for the National Technical University of Athens, the architectural design of a Municipal Conservatory, a Multiple-Use Musical Center at Megara, to replace the existing building that hosts the Municipal Conservatory of Megara and to stand as a cultural landmark of the city. The architectural design of the Municipal Conservatory, a Multiple-Use Musical Center at the city of Megara was based on the assumption that removing the existing building and replacing it with a brand new building complex, suitable for the specific purpose stated above, is possible.	en

heal.abstract	Αφορμή για την παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία αποτέλεσε η μουσική και η προσέγγιση για την αρχιτεκτονική της μουσικής, σε έναν τόπο οικείο. Στα Μέγαρα Δυτικής Αττικής, πόλη 37.000 κατοίκων λειτουργεί το «Βυζάντιο Ωδείο Μεγάρων», δημοτικό ωδείο της πόλης, από το 2011. Στεγάζεται σε κτίριο κατασκευής του ’90, κτίριο που δεν κατασκευάστηκε με τις απαραίτητες προδιαγραφές για εκπαιδευτική χρήση και δεν διαθέτει επάρκεια χώρου και την απαιτούμενη ασφάλεια για τη λειτουργία του ως ωδείο. Το κτίριο που στεγάζει το δημοτικό «Βυζάντιο Ωδείο Μεγάρων» βρίσκεται σε κομβικό σημείο στην πόλη: κοντά στην είσοδο της πόλης από την παλαιά εθνική οδό Αθηνών -Κορίνθου, γειτνιάζει με 6 σχολεία και ένα πάρκο στο οποίο πραγματοποιούνται πολιτιστικά δρώμενα και το οικόπεδο στο οποίο βρίσκεται διαθέτει άπλετο ελεύθερο υπαίθριο χώρο προς διαμόρφωση. Αναγνωρίζοντας τη σημασία της εκπαιδευτικής διαδικασίας που στρέφεται προς μια πολυσύνθετη μορφή διαπαιδαγώγησης και δεν περιορίζεται στο μονοδιάστατο σχολικό πρότυπο αποκλειστικής διαμόρφωσης πρακτικού γνωσιολογικού υποβάθρου, και με δεδομένη την πλήρη απουσία οργανωμένων χώρων μουσικής εκπαίδευσης στην πόλη των Μεγάρων, προτείνεται η κατασκευή Δημοτικού Ωδείου - Πολυχώρου Μουσικών Δραστηριοτήτων στη θέση του «Βυζαντίου Ωδείου Μεγάρων», για να λειτουργήσει ως ένα πολιτιστικό τοπόσημο της πόλης, ως δημοτικό κέντρο μουσικής παιδείας. Υποθέτοντας ότι υπάρχει η δυνατότητα απομάκρυνσης του συγκεκριμένου υπάρχοντος κτιρίου και αντικατάστασης του με ένα νέο κτιριακό συγκρότημα με τους απαραίτητους χώρους και την απαιτούμενη ασφάλεια, προτείνεται η λύση της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας.	el
