heal.abstract	Η διπλωματική εργασία αφορά τη δημιουργία του πρώτου χώρου συντήρησης και έκθεσης ενάλιων αρχαιολογικών ευρημάτων στη Λάρνακα της Κύπρου, σε μια λωρίδα γης ανάμεσα στην Αλυκή Λάρνακας και την ακτογραμμή. Αφορμή αποτέλεσε η εξαιρετικής σημασίας ανακάλυψη του Ναυαγίου του Μαζωτού, ενός αρχαίο εμπορικού καραβιού του 4ου αι. π.Χ. στα ανοικτά της Λάρνακας. Με κυριότερο εύρημα το αρχαίο καράβι, το κλειστό κέλυφος οργανώνεται πάνω σε μια πορεία που ενώνει τα δύο νερά: την Αλυκή και τη θάλασσα. Το αρχαίο καράβι τοποθετείται έξω από το φυσικό του περιβάλλον, στη στεριά, κάπου ανάμεσα στα δύο νερά, κατά μήκος της πορείας αυτής. Μέσα από το οξύμωρο αυτό σχήμα η διπλωματική επιχειρεί την εννοιολογική επανένωση των δύο νερών που κάποτε ήταν ένα, να προσφέρει κατοικία στο σημαντικό εύρημα και να επανασυστήσει την Αλυκή στον επισκέπτη εντάσσοντας την στην εμπειρία της πόλης. Το καράβι ως στιγμιότυπο της δημοσίας αυτής πορείας νοηματοδοτεί τη διαδρομή, προσφέροντας μια διαφορετική ανάγνωση της σχέσης των δύο νερών και αντίστροφα. Τα δύο τοιχεία που περιλαμβάνουν και προστατεύουν το καράβι τοποθετούνται στο σημείο όπου δημιουργείται η μοναδική έξαρση στην τοπογραφία. Οι λοιποί χώροι τοποθετούνται υπόσκαφα, εκατέρωθεν της διαδρομής με στόχο τη διατήρηση της τοπογραφίας.	el
heal.abstract	The project proposes the creation of the first conservation and exhibition space for maritime archaeology findings in Larnaca, Cyprus on a piece of land between two waters: the sea and the Aliki Salt Lake. Maritime Archaeology in Cyprus is in urgent need of such a space since the discovery of the "Mazotos Shipwreck", a 4th century BC commercial ship. The demanded enclosed spaces are organised around the ancient shipwreck which acts as the main exhibit, on a path that connects the two bodies of water: the sea and the Aliki Salt Lake. The ancient shipwreck is placed out of its natural environment, on land, somewhere between the waters, along this path. Through this oxymoron gesture we attempt to conceptually unify the two waters, as they were in the past, to offer a home for the significant finding and reconstitute Aliki to the visitors by integrating it in the experience of the city. The shipwreck as a snapshot of the open public path gives meaning to the route by offering a different reading of the relationship of the two waters and vice versa. The two walls containing and protecting the ship are positioned at the point where the topography creates a small hill to intensify the point even more. The remaining needed spaces are placed underground by the public path to preserve the topography.	en
