heal.abstract	Η ένταξη φυσικών στοιχείων στο αστικό περιβάλλον και η σύζευξή τους με αυτό, με τρόπο που τα καθιστά ένα ενιαίο σύμπλοκο αστικού-φυσικού είναι μια πάγια πρακτική στη σύγχρονη εποχή. Η παρούσα έρευνα εστιάζοντας στους δυτικούς πολιτισμούς παρουσιάζει κομβικά παραδείγματα αναφορικά με την ένταξη του πρασίνου στις πόλεις. H χρονολογική τοποθέτηση των παραδειγμάτων αυτών εκκινεί από την περίοδο της αναγέννησης και καταλήγει στο σήμερα με στόχο να ανιχνευτεί η αφετηρία των σύγχρονων πρακτικών τοπίου και πολεοδομίας (landscape urbanism) αλλά και τα πολιτισμικά και κυρίως τα πολιτικά αίτια που οδήγησαν στην υιοθέτησή τους. Καταληκτικό σημείο της έρευνας είναι η πόλη της Αθήνας όπως αυτή διαμορφώθηκε από τις αρχές του 19ου αιώνα και έπειτα και κυρίως οι επεμβάσεις που πραγματοποιήθηκαν γύρω και επί του ιστορικού βράχου της Ακρόπολης.	el
heal.abstract	Nowadays, the insertion and the adaptation of natural elements in urban planning and the perception of the natural and human-made environment as a unity, is a common idea. This survey focuses on the western civilizations and presents emblematic paradigms concerning the tree invasion in cities. The paradigms are dated back from the Renaissance until the current era. The goal of this documentation is to discover through history the roots of the contemporary landscape and cityscape practices (landscape urbanism) and unfold the pivotal social and especially political causes which are associated with them. During the final stage of this thesis, we examine the city of Athens from the beginning of the 19th century and mainly the regeneration of the ancient part of the city.	en
