heal.abstract	Η σύγχρονη αρχιτεκτονική χαρακτηρίζεται από την ψευδαίσθηση του αρχιτέκτονα ότι σχεδιάζει το δημόσιο χώρο με βάση τις ανάγκες των χρηστών. Το αποτύπωμα αυτής είναι η ανάδυση ενδιάμεσων χώρων, διάσπαρτων μέσα στην πόλη, που αιωρούνται στο μεταίχμιο μεταξύ σχεδιασμένου και μη χώρου. Με τον όρο «χαλαρός χώρος» (loose space) περιγράφονται ενδιάμεσοι χώροι μέσα στην πόλη, που φιλοξενούν απρόσμενες και μη σχεδιασμένες δραστηριότητες, ορισμένες από τις ανάγκες του χρήστη. Κύρια κινητήρια δύναμη της έρευνας είναι να προβληματιστούμε και να προβληματίσουμε ως προς την εικόνα τους και τη σχέση που αναπτύσσεται μεταξύ αυτών και των διάφορων κοινωνικών ομάδων και εν τέλει αν αυτοί οι χώροι μπορούν να αποτελέσουν τη νέα πραγματικότητα της πόλης. Για να προσεγγίσουμε το ζήτημα του δημοσίου χώρου και την πολυπλοκότητα που τον χαρακτηρίζει, επιχειρήσαμε μια ανάγνωση σύγχρονων θεωριών για τον χώρο και τη σύνδεσή τους με την έννοια της «χαλαρότητας». Όλα αυτά, συνοδευόμενα από την καθημερινή μας παρατήρηση, συντέλεσαν σε μια προσωπική ανάγνωση του αστικού χώρου με νοητό πεδίο αναφοράς την πόλη της Αθήνας. Σε δεύτερο επίπεδο, εστιάζουμε στην πόλη σε κρίση και εξετάζουμε το αν και πώς αυτοί οι χώροι μπορούν να αποτελέσουν εφαλτήριο ανασύστασής της με στόχο την ανθεκτικότητα μέσω του αστικού σχεδιασμού. Τέλος, ποιος είναι ο ρόλος του αρχιτέκτονα σε μια πόλη που αυτοδημιουργείται και δεν αποτελεί προϊόν σχεδιασμού;	el
heal.abstract	Contemporary architecture is characterized by the illusion that the architect designs the public space based on the needs of “the user”. The footprint of this gesture is the emergence of intermediate spaces scattered through the city, suspended on the borderline between designed and undesigned space. The term “loose space” describes intermediate spaces in the city that can accommodate unexpected and unplanned activities, defined by the user's needs. Main driving force of the research is to rethink their image and the relationship that develops between them and the various social groups and finally to reflect if these places can potentially be the new reality of the city. To approach the issue of public space and the complexity that characterizes it, we attempted reading contemporary theories of space and their connection with the concept of "looseness". We combined our observation of everyday life with personal observations of urban space using the city of Athens as reference field. At a secondary level, we focus on the city in crisis and examine whether and how these spaces can be a springboard in order to reconstitute urban space through urban design. Ultimately, we refocus our attention to the key question which is the role of the architect in a city recreates itself and does not constitute a design product.	en
