heal.abstract	Η διπλωματική αυτή εργασία πραγματεύεται το ρόλο που θα μπορούσε να παίξει η Αρχιτεκτονική σχολή του ΕΜΠ στον αστικό ιστό και τον τρόπο με τον οποίο το Συγκρότημα αυτό θα μπορούσε να επαναπροσδιοριστεί, ώστε να αποτελέσει ζωντανό χώρο συνάντησης-μάθησης. Το Πανεπιστήμιο οφείλει να ασκεί έναν σύνθετο κοινωνικό ρόλο, που, εκτός από την παραγωγή γνώσης, περιλαμβάνει την ευρύτερη πολιτισμική, οικονομική και πολιτική σχέση με την πόλη. Η πόλη χρειάζεται περιοχές που να είναι ζωντανές και η μόρφωση έχει ανάγκη από ερεθίσματα και σχέσεις αλληλεπίδρασης. Βασική μας λοιπόν θέση είναι ότι το πανεπιστήμιο πρέπει να βρίσκεται στο κέντρο της πόλης. Το συγκρότημα Πατησίων κατέχει πολύ σημαντική θέση στο κέντρο της Αθήνας. Μέσα σε αυτό όμως ενώ το κτίριο Αβέρωφ αποτελεί παράδειγμα συγκρότησης χώρου, στο πίσω τμήμα του ΕΜΠ τα κτίρια δεν επιτρέπουν την εκτόνωση λειτουργιών στον υπαίθριο χώρο με αποτέλεσμα να παραμένει νεκρός. Επίσης οι αρχικές ανάγκες στέγασης όλων των πολυτεχνικών σχολών του ΕΜΠ που άλλοτε συντέλεσαν στην διαμόρφωση του, αποτελούν πια παρελθόν και η σταδιακή επέκταση της σχολής αρχιτεκτόνων στα κτίρια αυτά οδήγησε σε μια μη συγκροτημένη λειτουργική δομή. Μπορούν αυτά τα εσωστρεφή κτίρια με τον αυστηρό στενόμακρο διάδρομο να αποτελέσουν σήμερα έναυσμα για την ανασυγκρότηση της καθημερινότητας της αρχιτεκτονικής σχολής; Το ενδιαφέρον μας λοιπόν επικεντρώνεται στο νεκρό σήμερα αίθριο, που περιβάλλεται από τα κτίρια Τοσίτσα, Μπουμπουλίνας και Γκίνη. Η λύση που προτείνουμε είναι η ανατροπή της κλειστότητας των πίσω κτιρίων του συγκροτήματος, με τέτοιο τρόπο ώστε το αίθριο να αποτελεί κέντρο αναφοράς. Γύρω από το κέντρο αυτό ξαναοργανώνονται οι λειτουργίες της σχολής. Αυτό το πετυχαίνουμε μέσω μιας ελαφριάς κατασκευής που έρχεται να γεφυρώσει κίνηση-σχεδιαστήρια -μάθημα σε ένα συνεχές σύστημα ροών.	el
heal.abstract	This thesis deals with the role the Architecture School of NTUA could have in the urban fabric and the way in which such a building complex could be redefined to become a lively meeting-learning space. The University shall carry out a complex social role, which, apart from the production of knowledge, includes the wider cultural, economic and political relationship with the city. The city needs areas that are lively and education needs stimuli and interrelationships. Our position is that universities should be located in the city center. The Patission complex occupies a very important position in the center of Athens. However, while the building Averof exemplifies space assembly, the rear buildings have several connection problems which make it remain dead. Also, the initial needs of all the departments of NTUA who once contributed to shaping the Patission complex are well behind us and the gradual expansion of the architecture school in these buildings led to a non-coherent operational structure. Could these introverted buildings with the narrow corridors constitute today impetus for revitalizing the everyday architecture school? Our interest therefore focuses on the patio dead today, surrounded by the builidings: Tositsa, Bouboulinas and Gini. The solution we propose is to reverse the connection of the rear buildings of the complex, so that the patio be a center. Around this center we rearrange the function of the school. This is achieved through a lightweight structure that comes to bridge movement-lessons-drawing boards in a continuous flow system.	en
