heal.abstract	Ζούμε μία συνθήκη όπου η πόλη επαναπροσδιορίζεται, τόσο ως προς τα όρια της όσο και σε επίπεδο κλίμακας. Οι σύγχρονες ανάγκες αποκεντρώνουν τον άλλοτε οχυρωμένο λόφο με τις ανθρώπινες δραστηριότητες να διαχέονται και να επεκτείνονται σε ευρύτερο πεδίο. Δομείται ένα πρότυπο παγκόσμιας πόλης που γιγαντώνεται και λειτουργεί ως ένα δίκτυο όπου το “εγγύ” και το “τοπικό” αποκτούν νέο νόημα. Αυτή είναι μία συνθήκη που αντανακλάται και στην αρχιτεκτονική. Ο Marc Augé στο βιβλίο του “Non lieux: Introduction à une anthropologie de la surmodernité”, διακρίνει τα σημεία της υπερβολής στην παγκόσμια πόλη και τα τοποθετεί στην εποχή της υπερνεωτερικότητας. Με case study τη λεωφόρο Συγγρού, η διάλεξη αναγιγνώσκει τη συνθήκη που περιγράφει ο Augé, τόσο σε επίπεδο θεωρητικής ανάλυσης όσο και προσωπικής έρευνας. Εντοπίζονται φαινόμενα άρρηκτα συνδεδεμένα με αυτήν που στο σύνολό τους συνοψίζονται στην ανάδυση μίας νέας κατηγορίας κτιρίων και ανατρέπουν τις ισορροπίες των αστικών συντελεστών. Τα κτίρια αυτά ορίζονται ως “νέα σημεία” και η αρχιτεκτονική τους αποκωδικοποιείται σταδιακά, αποκαλύπτοντας την υπερνεωτερικότητα στην πόλη. Η διάλεξη καταλήγει σε μία κριτική τοποθέτηση που αποκαθιστά την αξία της ανθρωπολογικής προσέγγισης στην αρχιτεκτονική και επαναφέρει τον ανθρώπινο παράγοντα στην ανάγνωση και το σχεδιασμό της σύγχρονης μητρόπολης. Ως απάντηση, τέλος, στα ερωτήματα ταχύτητας, διάχυσης και κλίμακας συντάσσει ένα μανιφέστο για την υπερνεωτερική πόλη.	el
heal.abstract	The city we live in is currently redefined not only as far as its boundaries are concerned but also regarding its scale. The overabundance of needs decentralises its core while human activities spread in a much larger field. The emerging model of the global city is expanding in a network where the near and the elsewhere are changing their meanings. This new condition is also reflected in architecture. In the book “Non lieux: Introduction à une anthropologie de la surmodernité”, Marc Augé distinguishes three figures of excess that describe the new reality of the global city introducing the term of supermodernity. Using Syggrou Avenue as a case study, this thesis pinpoints Augé's supermodernity in the city, in a both theoretical and practical approach. Phenomena utterly connected with the new scale alter the balance of the city elements and emerge a new category of buildings that we call “new elements” - or in the original term“νέα σημεία”. The architecture of these new elements is decoded in an attempt to a further understanding of the supermodern metropolis. The thesis results in a critical consideration that restores the value of the anthropological approach in architecture and brings back the human factor regarding the design and the image of the city. As an answer to the problematics of the excess in space, time and scale, a manifest for the city of supermodernity is composed.	en
